Agriinput Procurement Specialist

General Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Agri-Input Procurement Specialist to join our team in Central Java. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of agricultural inputs, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other essential resources. This role requires a deep understanding of the agricultural supply chain, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. This job will report to the National Category Head of Agri-Input. Responsibilities Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers of agri-inputs. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of quality products. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.  Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and new developments in agri-inputs. Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement strategies. Procurement Forecasting: Develop and implement procurement forecasting strategies. Anticipate agri-input needs based on market trends and seasonal variations. Analyze procurement costs and market trends to provide pricing recommendations. Competencies Critical Knowledge Agri input Business Understanding – Commercial, Agronomy Agri input category business acumen - understanding of commercial, Agronomy, Fulfillment, and Distribution Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Critical technical, professional, and personal capabilities  Excellent verbal and written communication skills Business and Financial acumen Self-motivation and ability to travel Qualifications & experience 3 years of procurement/ sourcing/ buying experience in Agri-Input company Minimum education D3/S1 Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia communication, both written and speaking Strong negotiation skill Willing to travel across Central Java area Placement in Semarang
