Area Manager - Chili

General Overview The Area Manager (Chili) will identify business opportunities and manage partnerships with wholesalers, GT, MT, HORECA, and chili processing companies, as well as negotiate the selling price and monitor the price in the assigned Region. They will oversee daily operations and providing guidance to Field Coordinators and Collection Center Supervisors to achieve fresh chili procurement targets in terms of both quantity and quality. They lead the regional team and report directly to the Regional General Manager. Roles and responsibilities  Identifying business opportunities and extending partnerships to chili offtakes buyers within the region Contacts and develop a business relationship in the region Deepening existing relationships and assisting transactions with buyers Analyze chili offtake sales and operations to increase sales and offtake process efficiency Updating prices and stock information daily (at the desired frequency) Capturing market practices (Operating hours, quality requirements, variety requirements, refraction practices) Quality tracking at wholesalers - Aligning with the QC Team Pre-planting Season Identify areas with high potential for chili procurement, considering both quantity and quality. Supervise and support the Field Coordinator’s efforts in identifying and hiring potential Sahabat Jiva (Micro Collectors) / farmers. Review and ratify decisions behind credit approval exceptions raised by Field Coordinators With the help of the training team, periodically train the Sahabat Jiva (Micro Collectors) on the platform features and quality assessment of a given commodity Planting Monitor MC’s cash deposits, following up on those which are offtrack     Harvest Oversee the procurement process to ensure optimal results in terms of both quantity and quality standards. Managing the collection center team to ensure the quality of fresh chili and the delivery to the market. Implement strategies for efficient and timely procurement based on market trends. Review suitability of current UPCs to determine whether new UPCs should be identified in the next planting cycle Manage credit recovery processes, such as deciding whether to give farmers additional time for repayment and MC termination decision Supervise end-of-cycle processes, ensuring that all working capital is recouped and all equipment is returned Requirements Willing to be placed in the East Java Branch. Fluent in both the local language and English. Proven work experience in the purchasing or procurement of fresh chili commodities or general vegetables for at least 5 years Have a leverage networking with Chili buyers all around Indonesia territory Target result-oriented and data-driven  Comfortable working mobile and in odd hours Demonstrate leadership skills and team management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Ms. Excel.
