Garuda Wisnu Kencana is within your area and you can easily go to the center of the international conference in the Indonesia Tourism Development Cooperation (ITDC) area.Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities OperationConduct daily briefings and ensure that all pertinent information is well received by team membersSupervise and manage daily activities of the departmentEnsure that all team members are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job dutiesEducate/train team members on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all local laws and safety regulationsWork with Design and Construction team, engineers, and/or outside architects regarding renovations and other such projects; contact contractors for bids and meet with appropriate construction supervisorsSupervise the maintenance and of repair the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contentsEnsure the execution and achievement of the hotel's preventive maintenance programEstablish and maintain procedures with regards to the security and replenishment of the hotel’s inventory and assets, such as (not limited to) tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions etc.May be responsible for determining the security requirements necessary to ensure that hotel property, employees, guests and patrons are protected against theft, crime, and other hazards, and/or manage the relationship with a third party security firm contracted for such purposesMonitor budget and control expenses within all areas of the departmentParticipate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financialTeam ManagementPlan for future staffing needsInterview, select and recruit team membersIdentify and develop team members with potential. Mentor and train appropriate employees for upward growthConduct performance review with the teamConstantly monitor team members’ appearance, attitude and degree of professionalismDevelop, conduct maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs, providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the businessPrepare weekly staff schedules keeping in mind anticipated business, operating budgets and standards of servicePrepare payroll and gratuity reportsConduct monthly departmental meetings to provide information to team members, obtain their feedback, rectify operation issues and provide a regular forum for department communicationhim/Other ResponsibilitiesBe fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency proceduresComply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all timesAttend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by managementReport for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all timesMaintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all timesPerform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the HotelhiMain Complexity/Critical issues in the JobProficient in all aspects of building operations and facilities managementQualificationsProfileKnowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalentMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacityExcellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English languageAbility to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantageGood working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPointHigh degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilitiesCompetenciesStrong leadership, interpersonal and training skillsGood communication and customer contact skillsResults and service oriented with an eye for detailsAbility to multi-task, work well in stressful & high-pressure situationsA team player & builderA motivator & self-starterWell-presented and professionally groomed at all timesAdditional InformationJob PurposeThis position is responsible in ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel property and all its equipment, ancillary maintenance and repair services and protection of the Owner's asset. Structural aspects of the hotel as well as the maintenance of grounds and external facilities fall within the span of responsibility of the Chief Engineer.
