Director, Liaison Office (LO) Operations & Government Affairs

Purpose: • Assist the development, evolving, and maintaining Indonesia annual Sourcing strategy/plan follows Global Sourcing Strategy, goals and objectives. • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities in sourcing operational and office administration area to enhance LO contribution to the adidas. • Support Chief Representative on government and industry relationship building in Indonesia according to directions and plans established with Governmental Relations and SEA. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing: • Understand brand requirements, GOPS and Sourcing strategies and priorities to support the development of relevant Indonesia specific sourcing plan. • Analyze organizational performance (e.g. LO and Supplier Key Performance Indicators, business operations & efficiency), forecast operational risks, and work within the LO organization and other Sourcing functions on issue resolution. • Manage projects and priorities as defined by Chief of Representative. • Support reviewing all policies, systems and procedures impacting LO operations and ensure (where it’s relevant) proper implementation, training and operations of these (e.g. manage the Product Creation Process function for the LO Operations.) • Works across functions as a representative of Sourcing to identify and solve issues that are posing obstacles to the business. • Uses the internet, industry publications or other media to keep abreast of current events likely to impact Indonesia sourcing strategy and suggest preventive measures to address potential issues. Trade Relations (cross divisions): • Take part in engagements with key local business associations & suppliers and support local execution of trade relation initiatives based on the directions from Governmental Relations Director, Asia , Chief Representative and Head of SEA to assist with advocacy and promotion of fair trade and competition Indonesia • Keep Global and Asia Government Relations team and Chief Representative updated on Indonesia specific sourcing strategies and help identify & report any emerging government issues and opportunities for protecting and advancing our competitive advantages. • Support Chief Representative, Global and Asia Government Relations and Legal on relevant matters concerning trade issues in Indonesia. Office Administration & Accounting (cross divisions): • Maintain at the highest possible level professionalism and integrity of the admin function in LO Indonesia through check and balance internal control procedures. • Assist the Chief Representative to ensure compliance of local laws and regulations including but not limited to (labor, financial, health, corporate and individual taxation) and to lead the office admin in accordance with the directions and policies of aSL. • Develop, coach and mentor key Admin & Accounting personnel to continually strengthen the Admin & Accounting organization. • Ensure compliance and transparency of accounting, reporting and budgetary control and OPEX forecasting and maintain effective internal control of all administrative contracts, cash management activities, company’s bank account, tax, accounting and audit records with internal and external auditors, tax advisors and consultants. Key Relationships: • LO leadership team • LO’s/ Supplier partners • Sourcing & Sourcing Operations leadership • aSL Finance, Legal and Performance Management Functional Heads • Global Government Affairs, Global Legal and SEA • Indonesia Market leadership • External stakeholders such as other brands’ Government Relations, Government officials and Euro Cham & AmCham members. • Other GOPS functions Knowledge Skills and Abilities: • Strong analytical and quantitative skills • Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, able to communicate at senior management level and managing stakeholders • Knowledge of Sport industry and manufacturing methods a plus • Advanced knowledge of standard software applications (Excel, PowerPoint) • Fluency in English and Bahasa Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: • University Degree • Minimum 6 years working experience in manufacturing and/or equivalent experience in strategic project management.
