(Global FMCG) Head of Corporate Legal

Today, as we continue to innovate, our brand stands as a celebrated ice cream icon throughout Southeast Asia.</p> <p>The Head of Corporate Legal leads the Legal team and oversees all complex legal matters for Group, coordinating across functional departments and business entities. This role involves close collaboration with the management team, global colleagues, and external counsel to manage contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, develop and implement global policies, and support the establishment of operations in new jurisdictions. The Head of Corporate Legal will ensure compliance with both Indonesian and international governance structures, advise on global employment issues, identify and address potential legal risks, and manage litigation.</p> <h4><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h4> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Legal Representation & Strategy:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide legal representation and support for Group's various legal entities in multiple jurisdictions.</li> <li>Set the strategic direction and goals for the Legal team, aligning with overall company objectives.</li> <li>Lead and manage complex legal projects that span multiple geographies, subject matter areas, jurisdictions, organizations, and business models.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Advisory & Risk Management:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide counsel to staff across all departments on complex legal issues.</li> <li>Identify, research, and analyze legal issues affecting the company's local, state, and international activities, operations, and strategic initiatives.</li> <li>Advise on matters including revenue diversification and jurisdictional and programmatic expansion.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Collaboration & Process Improvement:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with all departments to determine legal processes and recommend procedural or policy changes to improve operational efficiency.</li> <li>Develop and provide training on legal issues, processes, and policies to multi-level audiences across all departments.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Team Management & Budgeting:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervise the Legal staff and manage the legal department budget.</li> <li>Oversee special projects and other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Education & Licenses:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Law.</li> <li>Holder of an Advocate License.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7 to 10 years of legal experience, preferably in the FMCG industry.</li> <li>Proven experience advising senior management and working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organization.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of corporate actions, international and national trade, mediation, arbitration, legal compliance, and litigation.</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical processes, guidance, and training for non-lawyers.</li> <li>Strong project management skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.</li> <li>Exceptional teamwork and client service skills, with experience influencing and managing change.</li> <li>Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work through challenging situations.</li> <li>Proficiency in English (mandatory); Mandarin is an advantage.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Other Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Willingness to be based in Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
