As a Corporate Communications officer with the Energy Market Authority, you will play a central role in crafting and executing communications campaigns to effectively engage with the public and stakeholders on energy-related issues. Your primary responsibility will be to develop strategic communication plans and initiatives that align with organisational objectives and resonate with diverse audiences. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.Key Responsibilities:1.Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive integrated communication strategies and campaigns to raise awareness, educate, and inform the public about energy-related initiatives, policies, and programmes.2.Content Creation: Create compelling and impactful content for various platforms, including social media, websites, media materials such as press releases and pitches, newsletters, and multimedia materials.3.Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets to facilitate positive coverage and manage enquiries from journalists.4.Digital Marketing: Utilise digital marketing tools and analytics to optimise reach and engagement with target audiences.5.Stakeholder Engagement: Organise and coordinate stakeholder engagement initiatives to foster dialogue and gather feedback.6.Internal Communication: Ensure effective internal communication of key initiatives through disseminating relevant information to staff members and stakeholders within the organisation.7.Research and Analysis: Conduct research and gather data to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and identify areas for improvement.8.Crisis Communication: Develop protocols and strategies for managing communication during crises or emergencies to ensure public trust and confidenceRequirements:•Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.•Proven experience in developing and implementing integrated communication strategies and campaigns, preferably in the public sector or a related field. •At least 5 years' experience in developing and implementing integrated communications strategies across earned, owned, and paid media will be advantageous.•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management, content management systems, and analytics.•Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
