Manager / Assistant Manager, Cost Control (Based in Batam)

This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok Group Singapore.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLiaise with Batam Graha Yard Commercial to set up the budget into SAP as per established project budget by Singapore Cost ControlWork with Batam Graha Yard to establish labour cost report and productivity reportMonitor and update the actual cost work performed and cost commitment monthly from SAP and analyse the costsVerify cost allocation accordingly to Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and ensure the cost and budget are measurable and assessable at the same WBS levelIdentify Batam Graha's project cost variances and forecast the estimate at completion and report them accordinglyIdentify and maintain the Batam Graha register for change orders, budget transfers and trends, and prepare the supporting documentsAs a facilitator, work with the project team to identify the risks and opportunities, and provide the mitigation planPrepare monthly Batam Graha project status report and cost report with cost phasingConduct monthly cost reviews and analysis to identify cost optimization and improvement areasWork with Batam Graha's Commercial, Project, Finance, Procurement and Subcon for alignment on cost control objectivePromote cost awareness and good practices to project teamPrepare project ad-hoc reportsParticipate in SAP and other systems’ improvementBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science, alternatively Diploma in Engineering, Science, Accounting or Finance with exposure in maritime industryAt least 10 years of relevant working experienceGood analytical skill with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound recommendationAttention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to meeting deadlines and objectivesAdaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentProficiency in project cost control management with strong reporting and effective communication skillsMicrosoft Office (Advanced in MS Excel, Intermediate to Advanced Word and PowerPoint) and ERP system, e.g. SAP, Oracle etc.
