Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWorking with a multi-national marine survey company, the Project Manager is responsible for the effective planning and smooth execution of assigned hydrographic/geophysics projects, whilst ensuring high QHSSE standards, cost effectiveness and good utilization of available resources.Responsibilities:Managing assigned projects within Asia Pacific region, ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with Fugro’s Quality Assurance published procedures, QHSE policy and best business conduct in the most effective and timely manner. Always ensure project acquired data and results are adhere to customer’s defined specifications and objectives; final deliverable is submitted in client desire format within contractual or agreed timeline schedule.Keep track of project expenses and running budget throughout the entire life span of assigned project, including issuing, evaluating and approving purchase orders; ensure project execution is within given budget; issue invoices promptly and follow through with client to ensure timely payments are received. Project Manager will be required to produce monthly project accounting including project running profitability and WIP analysis, revenue and cashflow forecast, invoice and receivable status, and forecast.Key communication and focal point to Client of assigned project throughout the life cycle of the project; representing Company to discuss and reaching agreement with Client on project scheduling, technical specifications, achievable results quality, commercial variation order, data processing and reporting objectives, and final deliverables formats and timing.Discuss critical success factor and expectations with client / client representatives being part of project preparation stage; monitor and measure achievement and deviation of project performance during execution, and conduct post project performance review with client representatives. Documenting and sharing lesson learn with relevant field personnel and other project managers.Working closely with business development and tendering team during handover of assigned project, prepare project documentations and commercial planning to ensure a technically and financially successful project will be achieved.Working closely with technical and operational supports team on vessel, equipment and personnel planning and allocation to ensure project specifications, requirements and objectives are met.Working closely with data processing and reporting team members to ensure project deliverables are meeting project specification and submitted to client in a timely manner.Retain good and regular communication with client and client representative to promote Company services whenever possible; and sharing acquired information on market, client, and competitions with service Line Manager, Company marketing and commercial teams as appropriate.Retain good and regular communication with supporting companies, service and consumable providers and equipment rental companies; ensuring best quality, economical and suitable services/consumables and equipment is used for the project.Constantly observe Company’s QHSE policy and ABC (anti-bribery and corruption) rules and best business conduct; and ensuring all project team members and suppliers are adhering to the same.Required SkillsSkills and experience in managing projects for / related to the oil & gas and/or marine survey industry; knowledgeable in handling vessel associated projects / operation in multiple regions / countries preferred.Strong communication skills with good command of written and spoken English; preference given if capable to communicate in other Asian / local languages.Academic education on Geophysics, Geomatics or equivalent is preferred.Offshore Party Chief experience is preferred.Disclaimer for recruitment agencies: Fugro does not accept any unsolicited applications from recruitment agencies.
