QA/QC ENGINEER

Responsible for coordinating numerous Manufacturing Excellence activities to create and lead country-wide manufacturing improvement in conjunction with plant management, support staff, and associatesResponsibilities:1. Review and analyse production costs and productivity metrics to assist in developing and prioritizing support activities to improve these measures2. Administer a cost reduction reporting system with regular reporting of progress and gaps in targeted goals to ensure teams and project leaders meet their required targets3. Conduct gap analysis in employee skills, training, coaching, and practices around manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement. Recommend solutions to close skills gaps4. Facilitate and organize improvement sessions, events, or exercises to allow employees, leaders, or teams to identify improvement. Coordinate efforts to share information and ideas between and within all operation facilities. Ensure successful projects and initiatives are implemented across all sites5. Act as facilitator on new cost reduction and manufacturing excellence training or coaching programsQualification and/or experienced required:1. Have completed or in process of attaining Associates degree in Lean Manufacturing/ Operation Management that includes Six Sigma Certification2. At NS BlueScope our success comes from our people.
